ProBead™ Biological Pond Filters |

ProBead™ Biological Pond Bead Filters The ProBead™ Biological Pond Filter is a true bead filter that is perfect for koi ponds with heavy fish load or for goldfish ponds and water gardens for people who want the finest mechanical filtering abilities and the best biological filtering abilities available in one filter! The ProBead™ backwashes with the turn of a handle, taking only 5 minutes per week out of your time. Only people who research and do their homework will know about the ProBead™. It's not sold through distributors so it won't show up on other websites like the Aquadyne or Aquabead. This was by design. It was the Pond Doc's way of keeping the cost down for his customers, the pond owner. The Pond Doc's philosophy is to produce high quality bead filters -- not to churn them out on a production line. He takes his time with every filter so it may take a few days for the filter to ship after the order is received. |

History of the ProBead™ Biological Pond
Bead Filter In 1997 Pond Doc's Water Garden Center in Alpharetta, Georgia opened its doors for business. Cecil Ferguson, the Pond Doc, had a problem. How could he keep over 30 koi and goldfish tanks, show ponds and water gardens clean and healthy without spending a fortune on labor to maintain them? He had been experimenting with the newly developed bead filter. The first bead filter he used was the Bubble Bead and within a few months he had tested all the bead filters on the market. He wasn't satisfied with any one model. They all had flaws in their designs. It was out of desperation that he developed the ProBead™ Biological Pond Bead Filter. He took the parts he liked from the other bead filters, added features of his own that he knew would work well and rolled them all into one unique bead filter, the ProBead™. The first improvement he made was incorporating 2 inch plumbing throughout the whole unit -- a feature that is still part of the ProBead's superior design today. These first ProBeads worked extremely well. The filters were so easy to use that it took only one man to keep all those fish tanks and show ponds at the garden center clean! He even had time left over to help in other areas. Soon the customers started catching on to what the filter was doing for us and began requesting them for use on their own ponds at home. The filter was named the ProBead™ and production began. Sales of the Pond Doc's bead filter were not limited to local Georgia customers. The ProBead™ has been shipped all over the US, Canada and other countries like Bermuda. |
