[ BACHELOR PARTY POSTER ]

The Bachelor Party
aka Bachelor Dinner or Stag Party

It is traditionally the responsibility of the best man to throw the groom's bachelor party although we've even seen parties thrown by his future father-in-law.  There are no "rules" except for one.  The bachelor party should be the kind of party suited to the groom and no one else.  The best man's (or whoever takes the responsibility of the party's) role is to provide an enjoyable send-off by his buddies that (hopefully) he'll remember for the rest of his life.  Unless you are absolutely sure about the groom's party desires and schedule it would be advisable to include him in on the party planning.

Here are some items that are sure to spice up your bachelor party!

Beer Mugs Pilsner Glasses Beer Steins

NFL Silver Plated Beer Koozie Shot Glasses Flasks

Responsibilities of the Party Giver:

  • Provide a designated driver and a way home for drunk guests.

  • Don't plan something dangerous where the groom may get injured before the wedding.

  • Be prepared to pay for all or most of it!

The Wild Bachelor Party
This is what legends are made of and, with the exception of legal and financial limitations, there are no limits!  Venues include strip bars, hotel rooms or private homes and the entertainment ranges from exotic dancers to stag movies to, well, you get the idea.  Here's a suggestion:  Make sure that this kind of party is thrown at least a week before the wedding and especially not the night before.  The groom will want to be at his best during the wedding and for the wedding pictures.  It would not be a good thing if he showed up late and without any clothes!

The Bachelor Dinner
A groom who is more mature (so to speak) will often prefer a celebration a little more subdued than an all-out wild party with strippers and stag movies.  A dinner at a nice restaurant with all the "guys" can set the stage for a very memorable occasion.  If not at a restaurant then perhaps a nice steak dinner prepared by the "chef" in the wedding party.  Serve the groom's brand of beer and/or a great bottle of champagne to commemorate the occasion.  This is a good opportunity for a "roast toast" where funny or embarrassing stories about the groom are told by all his friends.

The Combo Bachelor / Bachelorette Party
Gaining in popularity is the idea that a bachelor party is most enjoyed when it's in cooperation with the bachelorette party.  This is when the guys go out for a couple of hours for cocktails or to play a round of golf while the girls do their thing.  They all meet up at a pre-scheduled time and place for a nice dinner or to continue the party.  This is especially suited for couples whose friends are mostly married.

Alternative Bachelor Parties
Debauchery is not always a prerequisite for an enjoyable bachelor party.  Here's a list of alternative bachelor party ideas:

  • A Concert or Sporting Event

  • A Play or Musical

  • Paint Ball

  • A Fishing Trip

Give the wedding party and other participants their own personalized gift to remember the bachelor party by.  We have quite a selection available of t-shirts, beer mugs, steins, shot glasses, koozies and coffee mugs befitting the occasion.
