Finally... a step-by-step guide to building ornamental backyard koi ponds, goldfish ponds and water gardens.

From planning the pond to filling it with water, we have the instructions here to get you started on your do-it-yourself pond construction project. The instructions are laid out in a step-by-step format so that you can follow it easier and not have to search for the information you need. Other articles of interest will be listed so you can delve deeper into the world of pond construction if you wish.

We will concentrate on three different styles of backyard ornamental ponds -- the true koi pond, the goldfish pond and the water garden. That way you'll have know what to install (and what not to install) on your tailor-made pond and that should save you a lot of headache and money.

You'll have two courses from which to choose - the Top-of-the-Line Low-Maintenance Pond Building Course and the Economy Pond Building Course. Both courses incorporate low-maintenance design techniques but cater to either the pond builder who wants the best of everything or the budget-conscience pond builder who wants as much as he can get for the money.

We'll be adding more as we go so keep coming back for the additions. Although it's not quite finished yet, we have enough to get you going.
