Designing Your Goldfish Pond, Koi Pond or Water Garden

Ahhhh, one of my favorite parts of building a pond - the designing of it.  There are so many different things you can do to make it special and make it pretty that I can't even begin to tell you all of them without bogging down the process.  You should already have a good idea as to whether you want a pond specifically for koi or plants or a combination of everything and you should already have an idea of where you want it to go.  Now you get to think of how you want it to look.

In this stage of your Pond Construction Project you will pen it all down!  Though things might change as your pond begins taking shape, you should have the basics established such as how you want it to look, what water features it will use, the size of the pond, equipment needs, the placement of the equipment and how the plumbing will be run.  That way, when you start to dig there should be no problems - well - at least that's the plan! :-)
