"Triage"

Click the Statement Below that Best Fits Your Situation:

All Fish (or Most) Dying or Dead

• I woke up this morning to find all (or most of) my fish dead or dying.
• All my fish are dying right now.
• I just changed the water and now all my koi and goldfish are dying or gasping for oxygen.
• I just treated my pond with a chemical and now my all koi and goldfish are dying or gasping for oxygen.

• One of my fish is swollen, his eyes are bulging and/or his scales are sticking out like a pinecone.
• There are red streaks showing up through the skin of my fish and/or the fins.
• One of my koi has a red sore on him and he's not acting well.
• Only one or just a few of my fish have died within the last 24 hours and there seems to be "no reason".
• A few of my koi have a white cloudy film over one or both eyes.

• The fins on my koi or goldfish look tattered, worn or eaten away.
• My koi or goldfish have white fungus clinging to them.
• The skin on all or most my koi and goldfish appears to be peeling.

• I believe a toxic chemical has been leaked into the pond.
• My ammonia and/or nitrite readings are high.
• There is foam on the pond.
• There is an oily film on the surface of the pond.
• My koi and goldfish are gasping for air but they are not dying.

• One fish is isolating himself and not swimming and playing with the others.
• Several of my koi and goldfish are jumping like crazy.
• Many of my koi and goldfish are rubbing themselves against the sides and bottom of the pond.
• Several of my fish are lying still on the bottom with clamped fins.

• One of my fish jumped out of the pond and is lifeless, barely alive or not swimming normally.
• One of my fish has torn a fin or injured himself on a sharp object.

• None of these statements fit.  Take me to the Diagnostic Clinic.
