RinFinFin
Koi with an Attitude! We were at a loss for a name for our little friend. We decided to seek help from our customers and ran a contest to name the little guy. As posted on the bulletin board at the store, we offered a prize of a koi from the $110 tank. The response was great! Some of the names suggested were "Gil", "Gil-igan", "Dr. Doolittle", "Doc Koi" and "Bubbles". We were intrigued by the name of "Errol Fin" which was submitted by Donovan Smith of Duluth.So, how did we get RinFinFin? I read off the names submitted to the Doc (leaving out the name of the person who submitted it, of course). When I came to Errol Fin it made me instantly think of Rin Fin Fin. I blurted out the name — and the Doc fell in love. It was Donovan’s Errol Fin that made me think of Rin Fin Fin so we awarded the prize to him.
A big "thankyou!" goes to all who participated in the contest. We’ll be curious to hear your comments about the name!
