  1. This koi was developed by crossing an Asagi with a Doitsugoi.
  2. He is a blue fish with red and a black (some say navy) stepping-stone pattern down the spine.

  2. He can be scaless (doitsu) or have shiny scales (gin rin) and still be considered the variety.
