BOB

Bob got his name because he was brought in to us several years ago by a fellow named Bob who had found him dying in a natural lake.  The koi Bob was almost dead when his namesake brought him in.  He had parasites and was eaten up with ulcers.  After several weeks of treatment and some rest Bob amazingly recovered.  He was big - probably 24 inches when he came to us -- and, though he didn't really grow much lengthwise he has fattened up to a healthy weight and has never been unhealthy since.

Bob is by no means a "show koi".  He has what koi judges would refer to as a "chicken head" which means it is flesh-colored.  He falls into the Bekko variety.  He's a white fish with black spots.  Bob eats from the hand occasionally.  I like Bob's one blue eye.
