Because these Retro-Fit Ultraviolet Water Clarifier Units are manufactured by Emperor Aquatics especially to fit Savio Skimmers we know it is a great quality product.  If you have a Savio Skimmer installed on your koi pond or water garden that was manufactured before 2007 and you would like to add the great benefit of sterilization of free-floating algae this is the unit for you!  It installs easily into the Savio Skimmer using no more than a phillips head screw driver. 

A word about our "Maximum Gallons"...  Below you will see that for each size unit we give a "maximum gallons" that is probably only half of what our competitors (and the manufacturer) might say.  The reason we do this is that on most ponds a unit that says it can do up to 1500 gallons, for example, will, in all reality, only do a good job on about 750 gallons MAX.  We know this from years of working with ultraviolet water clarifiers.  There's a lot of different factors that go into determining how many gallons a unit will clear up.  Fish load - amount of sunshine - amount of accumulated waste that turns into fertilizer that, in turn, feeds the algae - yada, yada, yada.  What it all boils down to is if you want a unit that works well - go with our suggestions instead of the manufacturers.  It's not that they are trying to deceive you - it's that they have to rate a max and, if you are in heavy shade with no fertilizer in the water it might just work for you but I've never seen a pond without extenuating circumstances.
