Artesian 1 and 2 Speed External Pumps by PerformancePro

We love Performance Pro pumps because of the quality and the customer service that we receive from the company.  The Artesian line by Performance Pro is our favorite.  Day in and day out Artesian external pumps provide smooth, reliable and quiet performance for almost any koi pond, goldfish pond or water garden.  In fact, we have two of them on our 15,000-gallon personal koi pond.  The Artesian provides standard lift with good flow that works perfectly for most waterfalls and fountains.   

They are not the least expensive on the market but, in our opinion, the Artesian pump is the best value for the money!  Sure.  They cost more up front but over the years they will eventually catch up with the others and exceed them with cost savings because they last longer and use less electricity.  The bonus is that you get quiet, steady operation every day for years!

Low RPM and High RPM

Compare the Different Artesian 1-Speed Models and See Which is Best for You!

1-speed Artesian Pumps by Performance Pro are available with either Low RPM or High RPM motors.  This gives you the option of either the high energy efficiency of the Low RPM or extremely high water flow of the High RPM.  The impellers inside the Low RPM  pumps are larger and move slower but it requires less energy.  The downside is what you save in electricity cost you lose in flow.  The Low RPM motors are more easily bogged down by equipment and resistance caused by elbows in the plumbing, etc.  If you are not pushing the water UP more than 10 ft. and you do not run it through a lot of equipment you can take advantage of the energy savings of the Low RPM Artesian Pumps.  If it's flow you want then, by all means, go for the High RPM and enjoy the ride!

All but the strongest High RPM models are available in 115 volt as well as 230 volt.  You also have the choice of whether you want the 115 volt pump with a cord attached.  You must hard-wire the 230 volt.  The cords are normally 8 ft. in length but if you need a longer cord length we can have whatever length cord you need attached to your pump as a special order item.

The Artesian 2-Speed

The Artesian 2-Speed External Pump by Performance Pro gives you the best of both worlds!  On LOW you experience high energy efficiency and wonderfully quiet operation.  Flip it to HIGH and you have white water rapids!  That's what makes the Artesian 2-speed pump such a great pump for so many ponds.  It's a perfect pump for a bead filter system because you can reach optimum filtering abilities during normal running on Low then get the most out of your backwash by switching it to High. 

The Artesian pump series offers a unique blend of performance characteristics that make it easy to install, efficient to operate, and reliable to use.  Due to it's excellent design you get both high efficiency and true self-priming capabilities.  Low NPSH requirements insure proper operation even when the pump is positioned above the water.  The heavy duty housing is molded of corrosion-resistant polypropylene and can withstand 100 psi or pressure.  A quick cam lid provides easy access to the integral strainer basket.
