Excellent Pre-Filters for Many Submersible Pumps on the Market / Submersible Filters for Small Ponds

The Tadpole Filter has two very important uses. 

#1 -- You can use the Tadpole as a PreFilter to any submersible pump that can be rigged to accept flex hose at it's water intake port.  3 different sizes of Tadpole Filters are available and each has a different size flex hose fitting (barb) already attached.  No matter what size your pond is - if you have a submersible pump that needs protecting - the Tadpole Pre-Filter is perfect for that. 

#2 -- You can use the Tadpole as a Mechanical / Biological Filter for very small ponds.  Ponds up to 500 gallons can benefit from its filtering capabilities.

Here's how the Tadpole Filter works:

You hook it up to the intake end of your submersible pump.  As it pulls water through the sides of the filter the padding inside traps dirt and debris.  This protects the pump and prolongs its life.  In the diagram on the left you can see it pull water through and pushes cleaner water through the outlet of the pump, through the hose and up to an external Ultraviolet Water Clarifier.
