Southeastern Flower Show 2001

Pond Doc's Water Garden Center in conjunction with Blades & Blossoms presented
"The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn".

This was our theme description:

Huckleberry Finn prayed for hooks for his fishing pole “three or four times”. His prayers unanswered, he was forced to fish without them. We have provided a place from which Huck can fish by constructing large stepping stones that appear to float on water. These stones are sturdy enough for the gardener to walk across and allow the huge koi that we’ve placed in our “Mississippi River” to swim freely among them. A shanty similar to the one where Huck faked his own death is constructed to house and hide the filter system and pump needed to keep the pond clean and the fish healthy. A table and chair - along with a copy of the book - suggest a quiet spot where one can sit and read without interruption. Splash from the waterfall, stream and old-fashioned pump add pleasant music to the garden.

Still working on it.  I'll get it done soon...
