Here
is a view of the pond and garden very few were able to see. This
shot was taken from the back of the garden almost immediately below the
huge River Birch where trees and flowering shrubs were abundant. |
 |
|
This
shot is very similar to the picture published in the garden section of
the Atlanta Journal & Constitution (2/23/02). Notice the
large, lovely umbrella palm in the foreground. This umbrella palm
is a 3rd year plant, having survived one winter in the Oriental pond,
countless salt treatments and one winter indoors where the store kitties
tried to destroy it. |
 |
|
This
is the first glimpse of the arbor waterfall for those who entered the
garden from the left. |
 |
|
This
is the 2nd glimpse... |
 |
|
A
cast-iron birdbath in the shape of a sunflower was nestled in among the
trees and shrubs, highlighted midday by the wonderful splash of sunshine
the garden received from the windows above. |
 |
|
The
sun played games with the garden, casting shadows and offering loads of
picture-taking possibilities. These globes were the bit of
"whimsy" added to the delight of the koi who used them as
basketballs! |
